The Melting of the Ice Floes - Original Large Ink Painting
The Melting of the Ice Floes - Original Large Ink Painting
Due to climate change, substantial amounts of offshore sea ice are melting which means polar bears must swim farther out to sea in search of ice floes where they hunt. This large acrylic ink painting of a lonely polar bear staring out across the fractured ice floes was shortlisted for the Octopus Energy Climate Change Exhibition and displayed on electronic billboards across London last year.
This large piece of artwork is painted using acrylic inks onto St. Cuthbert's Mill heavy watercolour paper. This piece would look great with a thick white mount and modern medium size black frame.
Medium: Professional quality acrylic-based pigmented water-resistant ink.
Paper: Heavy St Cuthbert's Mill 100% cotton acid free and archival watercolour paper approved by the Royal Watercolour Society of Britain. Deckle edge. Paper Size: 560mm x 760mm (22” x 30”).
Border Size: This artwork has a 3.5cm (1") white border up the deckle edge of the paper. You could frame over the border, up to the border, or frame with a mount that shows off the border and the beautiful edges of the paper.
Frame: Not included, contact me for framing options if required.
