Pink Lagoon - Original Large Watercolour Painting

This glowing watercolour is painted with a special colour called Quinacridone Pink. Quinacridones were the first modern transparent pinks and reds with outstanding light stability. Here I have mixed this beautiful pink with another modern colour, Phthalo Blue Green, to produce a painting where the transparency and cleanness of these colours can shine together to recreate a tranquil lake reflecting a perfect sunset.

This large piece of artwork is painted using watercolour paints onto St. Cuthbert's Mill heavy watercolour paper. This piece would look great with a thick white mount and modern medium size black frame.

Medium: Professional quality watercolour paints.

Paper: Heavy St Cuthbert's Mill 100% cotton acid free and archival watercolour paper approved by the Royal Watercolour Society of Britain. Deckle edge. Paper Size: 560mm x 760mm (22” x 30”).

Border Size: This artwork has a 3.5cm (1") white border up the deckle edge of the paper. You could frame over the border, up to the border, or frame with a mount that shows off the border and the beautiful edges of the paper.
